Every girl loves to pamper herself! When it comes to shoes, bags or accessories one can never say no. I am a shoe lover and take fewer risks when buying one for myself. However i feel that every girl must have a varied collection of shoes in their wardrobe so that they can mix and match them with all kinds of outfits.

To begin with, a black pump shoe is a must have. It can be worn with all formal outfits as well as a party wear. Pump shoes are available in all flats as well as high heels. This is a staple must have in a a woman’s wardrobe.

Flat heels are the safest option for those who dread the six inch heels. One can experiment with multiple colors and different patterns and can be worn with casuals.

An evening shoe will add a bit of glamour to your whole personality.Go for a classic shape with moderate heels. Go for a sequinned shoe to get a dramatic look.

Sneakers are an integral part of our wardrobe. Be it for our daily morning jogs or for a tee and jeans casual look, it serves the purpose. Go for bold and funky colors to add a spunk to your attire.

Turquoise Delight

I absolutely adore the greenish blue color of  the turquoise gemstone! Fashionistas took  to it majorly this year, teaming it up with almost everything.  And i must say the effect is just stunning! Turquoise is said to be a reviving stone. In the olden days, it was believed that turquoise had  healing properties.

Turquoises were used as talismans and were thought to protect the wearer from the evil eye. People used to wear a turquoise around their neck or as an amulet to protect themselves from enemies.  Turquoise derives it blue color from  copper and the green from other mineral impurities in it. The dark veins seen on a turquoise is the pyrite or the iron component present in the gemstone.

Turquoise  is  softer than quartz and hence can  get fractured easily. They are normally found in the shape of beads or cabochons as they are not faceted.Turquoises are jugded by their color. The sky blue color indicates purity and hence is considered to be of the highest grade. The green colored turquoise is mostly considered to be of lower quality.

Now-a-days, everyone’s  sporting  turquoise jewelry. One can get them in the form of trendy earrings, pendants, bracelets, bangles etc.  When teamed up with a simple white tee and jeans, it looks stylish and chic. I just adore this  bracelet from Etsy. Damn pretty!

It is very important to take care of your turquoise jewelry. I normally dip it in warm soap solution and swab it with a dry cloth. Do not expose your turquoise to steam or high temperatures lest you want to damage your prized possession!  If you are buying them in the form of beads, always get them from a reputed jeweler who will guide you in the right way and thus you can avoid ending up  with treated gemstones.  Many treated varieties are also available in the market, and i am not very sure how authentic they are.
